Privacy Policy

This page accurately describes how the site currently handles data, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before relying on it as your published policy, have it checked against the jurisdictions you actually sell in — India, and the EU/UK if you take bookings from there.

What we collect

When you use the Reserve a spot form on a trip page, we collect what you type into it. On the standard form that is:

• Your full name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• How many people you are travelling with
• Room preference (shared or private)
• Dietary preference

Individual trips may ask for a little more or less. We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not process card payments here.

Where it goes

When you submit an enquiry, the information is sent to two places:

• Our own database — a MongoDB Atlas instance hosted in the United States, so we have a record of your enquiry.
• A Google Sheet, via an automation service called Make.com, so the team can respond to you without needing access to the database.

We use it to reply to you about the trip you asked about, and to run the booking if you go ahead. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the trip partner you are actually travelling with.

What the site measures

We use two analytics tools, both of which set cookies in your browser:

• Google Analytics 4 — how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are.
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymised session recordings and heatmaps, so we can see where the site is confusing.

Neither is used to identify you personally, and neither is connected to your enquiry. There is more detail on the cookie policy.

Trip pages also embed a Spotify playlist. That embed only loads once you scroll to it, and when it does, Spotify may set its own cookies under their policy rather than ours.

How long we keep it

Needs a decision from the business: how long enquiry records are kept before deletion, both in the database and in the Google Sheet. Left blank rather than guessed, because a retention period you do not actually follow is worse than none.
